Professor of the Occult Questioned ARKHAM - Local police have detained and questioned reknowned professor of the occult, Bernard Bustoffson in regard to this latest slaying of a Miskatonic student. It was only three weeks ago when | Dr. Bernard Bustoffson |
ARKHAM - Early this morning the body of 19 year old Harvey Cohen, a student at Miskatonic was found near the university library. Police received an anonymous call about the body, but police Captain Arthur Stanley suspects the caller was none other than Miskatonic Professor Bernard Bustoffson (see Article to the left). "When you question a man as often as I do Bustoffson, |
you get to recognize his voice", explained Capt. Stanley. The apparent cause of death is still unknown at this time. Cohen has been taken to the coroner's office. Capt. Stanley did state that Cohen's body was covered in "unusual sucker marks". He expressed his confidence in the abilities of Alison Witherspoon, the county coroner, to determine the cause of death. See Dead Student, page A13 |
| Dr. Bustoffson was questioned about the deaths of three other students in what turned out to be a bizarre double murder-and/or-triple suicide, which is still officially listed as unsolved.
"This is just the police's attempt to look like they are doing something", said Bustoffson. "They hate to look like they don't know what's going on, but unfortunately, that's precisely how it is." Bustoffson denies reporting |
the body to
the police anonymously, claiming he wouldn't know what number to call. "911 would have been pointless.
Cohen was clearly already dead, and was probably that way for hours." Bustoffson does admit to having employed the assistance of Cohen in one of his occult investigations. "I frequently use the help of Miskatonic students. They get academic credit for helping, if they stick around long enough." |
Bustoffson would not comment on how many students his group SPONGE has used in the past. An unindentified source claims that he saw Dr. Bustoffson dragging Cohen's body into the library's foyer. "Bustoffson was running around in a panic", said the source. "I heard him say 'Cohen you fool, I told you not to piss it off.' Then he ran away." See Professor, page A11 |
