American Arrested for Cultist Activity
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) -- Police raided an apartment in northeast Pakistan, seized several forged passports
and arrested two men and an American woman on suspicion of having links with the Melek-Taus cult of Kurdistan Pakistani intelligence
officials said Sunday.
Intelligence officials, who spoke on condition they not be named, said they conducted the raid after receiving a tip
that unnatural rites were being performed in the apartment.
Officials have not released the names of the two men, but the American woman was identified as Bedelia Bustoffson of
Massachusetts. Ms. Bustoffson was forbidden to enter the country after a related incident three years before.
She is similarly banned from China, Egypt, and Las Vegas.
