ARKHAM -- -- Two slight earthquakes rattled Arkham last night, but there were no reports of damage or injury.
The quakes struck about three hours and 170 miles apart.
The first was at 10:58 a.m. about twelve miles northwest of Arkham. The second was at 11:02 a.m. about ten miles northeast of Dunwich, a small community along Interstate 12 west of Arkham.
Both were new temblors not related to any previous earthquake, said seismologist Jane Marshfield of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
