Saltwater effects on the undead
By Historian Scirun

I read in the 'Encyclopedia of Parapsychology and Occultism' that saltwater can be given to a zombie to drink, and that will make the zombie human (or animal) again...and salt can also be used to keep evil things away (but I have no proof of this). In Florida's Everglades, I was just going around on an airboat and came across a shack. Inside the shack was a trapped zombie (at least it had all the properties of a zombie : decaying flesh, not much common sense, etc.) and I figured it had been there for a while and it would be for some time to come. No clues were around as to how it got there. I drove to the coast of Florida and took a bucket of salt water and went back to the shack. I brought a Beretta just in case. I let the zombie out and gave it plenty of room to move around, and for me to move around. It went straight for me, so I threw the bucket of saltwater at it and I drew the Beretta. But the water it self burned off the upper torso, head, and upper arms of the zombie.

Test:
I kept the remains of the zombie in the shack and over the past few months I have been back and fourth with different things to run tests with. I have used natural saltwater from different parts of the ocean around Florida and homemade saltwater (tap water, table salt) on the remains of the zombie.

Conclusions:
Homemade saltwater does nothing to zombie flesh. But natural saltwater acts like acid on decayed flesh.

How this has proven effective:
I have found that natural saltwater can be put in any type of water pistol or water balloon and be just as effective as a bucket. And it can harm a zombie no matter where it hits. So a bullet to the head or decapitation is no longer needed.

Notes:
Zombies may not be the only thing that natural saltwater can harm. So further testing on different entities should be conducted. I don't know if a zombie drinks saltwater, it will turn it human again or not. But I doubt you can get a zombie to drink it... unless you trick it somehow.

Special Notes:
Once when I was coming back in from the swamp after testing saltwater filled paintballs (which are also good on zombies), I saw a creature that was as large as a grizzly bear, but resembled a reptile. I don't know what it was, but it charged the airboat and I shot it with one of the paintballs since that was the only weapon besides a dagger that I had. The paintball hit above the head and the creature let out a long shriek and ran the other way and I never saw it again. I am not sure what the creature was because I never heard anything about something that looked liked that...either because no one has lived to tell about it, or it was a figment of my imagination. And I am somewhat sure the saltwater is what caused it to run away..because it was large and I doubt a paintball would have harmed it. Or maybe above the head is a weakness. I have found no documentation on anything that resembles this creature.
